EPISODE 3

After staying back for two weeks he returned back to the US. With good help from Rajdeep he had completed all the formalities. But one thing that he did was that he had lied to everybody in India that he was single.
     It was his birthday that day. The cake cutting was already done at midnight. He received a courier from his mother. It was, 'Living life the hindu way' by Shambhunath Swamiji. Before he came to the US, he used to attend the sat-sang of this holy man every Sunday. Vishal finished reading the book within ten days. He was an intelligent educated man. So he modified the teachings in it to whatever was viable. Although the teachings in it did ask the devotees to respect all irrespective of their race, one thing that confused him was that, in the book it was written that legitimate children must always be of good breed. He fixed an online meeting of this guruji. Here after discussion, this guruji advised him to go for adoption. Vishal thanked the guruji and after discussing the matter with Rajdeep, he decided that he'll go for surrogacy. After deciding, he put the matter honestly before Yogita. She was shocked. She cried alone first. But after that all the things that Vishal had done for her since the beginning crossed her mind. She decided that these were favours which nobody will ever do. She derived that he was the best partner in the world. But, these were rich hindu people. They do of course help poor and downtrodden people. But their legitimate offsprings are always of noble birth. She then supported Vishal's decision to opt for surrogacy.
    A female child was born. Yogita arranged for two ayaahs for her. One did the day shift and the other did the night. Yogita at the end of the day always made sure the baby was fed well, cleaned well and was attended well. Vinita, the child was the apple of her father's eye.
     On the advice of the swamiji, he decided to introduce his daughter to his family in India. He revealed the news and his parents and elder brother arrived to the US to see the baby. Vishal lied to them that Yogita was an orphan whom he married and that they both were also the biological parents of the child. His mother was very happy. After two weeks his Indian family left. Two small sized gold baby bracelets were gifted to the child. Just before going, Yogita's ma-in-law gave her a ruby necklace set and two thick gold bangles.
